line manager workshops

A key part of any road risk management programme is ensuring that line managers ~ who are often in the best position to influence, change and measure on-going performance ~ understand the rationale and benefits of minimising occupational road risk.

AA DriveTech offers workshops to support this process that not only explain the hard facts but also the reality of undertaking an improvement programme and some of the challenges that it brings.

permit to drive

A growing number of companies have a strong commitment to health & safety and a need to ensure that their employees have valid driving documentation, the correct entitlement for driving a particular category of vehicle, a risk ‘profile’ and details of any driver training.

Historically, this information has either not been collected or it has been stored and kept in different, disparate systems. AA DriveTech has now developed an innovative ‘permit to drive’ scheme that acts as an internal ‘licence’ for companies, giving a complete ‘holistic’ overview of an individual’s profile and entitlements.

This scheme - and other similar initiatives - is underpinned by AA DriveTech’s IDB ( Integrated DataBase). AA DriveTech’s bespoke IDB integrates information from different data sources to provide a ‘portal’ for occupational road risk. In essence, it provides a repository for importing, managing and accessing driver information together with a suite of on-line web reporting showing:

  • driver risk assessment
  • documentation
  • driving history
  • driving licence details - 'entitlements', points, history
  • driver training history

The Integrated DataBase can also be ‘skinned’ so that it has the look and feel of the client’s own internal systems. The database is fully maintained and supported by DriveTech’s own technical team which means there is no need to rely on any other third party organisations.

post accident training

Understanding the circumstances - and the consequences - of an ‘at-work’ collision is a key component in reducing road risk costs. At AA DriveTech, our post accident training for line managers covers:

  • conducting post accident interviews - tips and techniques for managers
  • identifying circumstances and consequences of incident
  • how to use the incident as a learning experience
